Integrated B2B Campaign Recognized for Reframing Resident Well-Being as Proactive Infrastructure for Graduate Medical Education

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — October 7, 2026 — VITAL WorkLife, a national leader in behavioral health and well-being solutions for clinicians and healthcare organizations, has been awarded a Silver Award in the 21st Annual w3 Awards. The recognition honors “Before a Crisis Does: The Resident Well-Being Check-In Campaign” in the Integrated Marketing-B2B Integrated Campaign category.

Now in its 21st year, the w3 Awards is sanctioned by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an assembly of more than 1,100 industry leaders from organizations such as Microsoft, Netflix, and The Walt Disney Company. The program honors excellence in digital experiences, content, and creativity across websites, integrated marketing, video, social, and podcasts.

The award-winning campaign was developed internally by the VITAL WorkLife marketing team to help graduate medical education (GME) leaders move resident well-being from a reactive, opt-in benefit to proactive, built-in infrastructure. At the center of the campaign is VITAL WorkLife’s opt-out Resident Well-Being Check-In model, which pre-schedules confidential, one-on-one virtual conversations for every resident rather than requiring them to seek out help, reducing stigma and helping programs move from simply offering resources to creating real engagement.

The integrated campaign connected a dedicated landing page, an interactive Resident Burnout Navigator tool, organic and paid LinkedIn content, email nurture, account-based sales outreach, and a presentation experience for sales and leadership teams, giving GME program leaders multiple ways to learn about the model, estimate its impact, and start a conversation with VITAL WorkLife.

“Residents shouldn’t have to raise their hand to get support. This campaign was built to make that case to the leaders who can actually change it,” said Sarah DeMarco, Director of Marketing at VITAL WorkLife. “Being recognized by the w3 Awards tells us that a sensitive clinical issue and disciplined, high-performing B2B marketing aren’t mutually exclusive.”

About Resident Well-Being Check-Ins

Designed to treat well-being as a core clinical competency rather than a peripheral benefit, our Resident Well-Being Check-Ins program provides GME programs with a proactive, stigma-reducing approach to safeguarding physicians-in-training. By utilizing a secure "opt-out" framework—where one-on-one virtual conversations with dedicated clinicians are pre-scheduled, strictly confidential, and non-evaluative—the program creates a safe space to evaluate the whole person across emotional, physical, financial, and social dimensions. Backed by high satisfaction rates and a proven ability to support professional longevity, this model redefines how residency programs foster true clinical resilience.
